Your entire data center documentation on a tablet, that's DeeCeeApp. No matter which documentation system you use and how large your data center is, simply touch the display three times and you know which servers are connected with a switch and how the network paths are organized.
Who is it for?
Would you like to be able to display your data center documentation conveniently and easily on a tablet? Have information at your fingertips in the field instead of having to root around in different lists? Then DeeCeeApp is the ideal solution for you.
How it works
DeeCeeApp uses existing documentation data and helps you get an overview of your data center without drowning in a sea of hard-copy printouts: you simply take your tablet with you and have all relevant information at hand. The data used by the application are preferably taken from one of the currently available Datacenter Infrastructure Management Systems (DCIM), though it is also possible to use data from a relational database. The application needs only very little key data and also works with a simple list of servers. The more data are available, the bigger its benefits are though.
How does this help the user?
DeeCeeApp gives you:
A graphical display of your rack and devices
You see your devices in the rack, in the correct position, from the front and from the back. Tap a device to call up all the details.
Your cables in clearly arranged network paths
Network connections are displayed end-to-end; again, you can easily call up all the details for any hop.
Audit function with tablet notes
You can enter text, image or voice comments on any object. This ensures easy tracking of changes and errors in the documentation at the data center.
Full mobility with no constraints of time or place
Independent of PC, LAN or WLAN, you have the complete documentation at your fingertips at all times.
