Sometimes, something old but good can give rise to something new that is even better. That's exactly what happened last spring in Graz. Former staff of Aperture Software GmbH decided to make the know-how on data migration in data centers they had acquired over years of practice available to an even larger group of prospective customers and founded yandree GmbH. "In almost all the DCIM projects, which we carried out in Europe or internationally, we kept running into the same basic problem: the quality of the data, upon which our DCIM system should be built, was not as good as expected. As a consequence, projects took longer and turned out to be more cost-intensive than expected; besides, we also had to contend with restrictions regarding system functionality", said Andreas Gsell, managing director of yandree GmbH. "We plan to focus on this specific aspect of the migration process and offer our customers know-how and tools to guarantee high-quality data before a new documentation system is introduced." It is not only data, however, that need to be improved. Based on its many years of experience in project management, yandree came to realize that, for each new project, communication processes within the different groups involved also need to be considered and, if necessary, improved. Thus the motto of the young enterprise: "yandree – communicating on all levels. From both a human and technical perspective."
